From Japan
How hard is it to import a car from Japan and have it be legal to drive on American roads?
I want to import a car or motorcycle from Japan. The Toyota ae86 or a Nissan Silvia S15. As for the motorcycle I would like to find a 1987 Honda 250R. But general import information would be great, thanks.
I’d get the mechanical specifics and go talk to someone at the State police barracks who is familiar with state inspection.
If the vehicle was built to run in Japan, it probably won’t pass a US inspection and the cost of this endeavor will make it a waste of time IMHO
