Porcelain Plates

Please can someone help me to sort out dripping taps?
In our bathroom we have those taps that turn through 90 degrees between fully open and fully closed.
The bath taps work fine but both those on the sink drip very badly and moreso when the toilet is flushed. (I have no idea why the HOT tap should be affected when COLD water is drawn to flush the toilet.)
The taps were installed by a professional plumber so I am confident that the piping is connected correctly.
I have opened the cold tap but can find no way to adjust the two porcelain plates that control the flow. Presumably the hot tap will be constructed the same way.
I saw some taps in a local DIY shop recently that were said to operate at a pressure of only 0.1 bar but I don’t know what ours are.
Is my problem that the porcelain discs need to be adjusted? If so, how do I do it? Or is my problem that the pressure in both the hot and cold pipes to my sink is too low?
I really would appreciate some help/advice because this is driving me batty!
1/4 turn taps have no adjustments. If the taps are dripping you have to change the cartridges that the whole piece with the plates in them. How old are they? If there less than a year old you should be able to get them replaced if not they are not that expensive and are available in good plumbers merchants. They are available singularly (hot or cold) as they turn in opposite directions. It may be worth taking one with you to ensure the tap heads fit the replacements.
